Dr. George Moskowitz and his practice is dedicated to treating each patient with the best quality care. Dr. Moskowitz is a board-certified family physician who has been practicing family medicine in Brooklyn for over 30 years. Dr. Moskowitz received his undergraduate degree from Hunter College, his medical degree from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, and completed his residency in Charleston at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is certified by the American Board of Family medicine and is multilingual, speaking English, French, Yiddish and Hebrew.
Following the passage of the New York State Compassionate Care act in 2014, Dr. Moskowitz became certified with the New York State Department of Health to provide a comprehensive, safe and effective medical marijuana program that meets the needs of eligible New Yorkers. He has studied the positive effects medical marijuana has on patients, and is a strong believer of the many benefits medical marijuana has over dangerous opioid narcotics. Dr. Moskowitz remains committed to operating as a medical physician and has started New York Medical Marijuana Doctor to continue his work of providing comprehensive and integrated medical treatment protocols to patients.
Dr. Moskowitz maintains his general practice and is able to provide a full range of medical services in addition to certifying patients for medical marijuana. He is committed to maintaining a welcoming environment and providing compassionate care through understanding each patient’s particular ailment so that he can provide an optimized, customized and personalized treatment plan that will best suit the needs of each individual patient – to provide everyone with the highest quality of care.
