NY Lawmakers: Medical marijuana fixes snarled by Cuomo’s office

Lawmakers are urging Gov. Cuomo to approve an expansion of the state’s medical marijuana program so that patients don’t end up buying on the black market. The legislators contend patients authorized by doctors for the medical marijuana program should be able to acquire pot in whole flower form.

The medical dispensaries across the state have been approved for stocking marijuana products that can be ingested or used in a tincture, though they need state approval before they can offer pot in a form that can be smoked.
